Hello All,

I am new aroud here and also new at dyeing... Zowie... I can already see how I will be addicted to it. I have a question that I have not seen addressed on here. Perhaps I can get an answer. I don't use all my mixed dye and question is how can I keep it to use again?
It has been mixed with urea.
Waiting for your answer

Hi Ellie--

Thanks for joining! Make sure you check out the wiki as well! We're working hard to make it a great information source on tie-dyeing!

Regarding the dye--as long as it has not had soda ash added to it, you can  keep it longer by keeping it cool. If you can refrigerate or keep it under 40-45 degrees, it should be fine for at least a month.

Have fun and ask away!

Welcome Ellie!  I think my dye sits at about 65 degree room temp, and usually lasts at least 2 weeks (except my greens & aquas perhaps because I don't use urea, they go after a day or 2).

peace,
