I just use my regular Arm & Hammer free & clear, and it seems to do fine, but Kathy would be the expert on this one!

peace,

I need the bag over head smiley 'cuz I generally do not pre-wash my silk scarves embarassed
BUT when I do I use synthaprol and soda ash. Dye/perfume free detergents are good in a pinch but they still contain optical brightners wh/ is one of the things you prewash your fabric to get rid of.
