That's okay! The educational software I have been using with my students is called moodle and they have been working on their own collaborative sound wiki; hence, they have been wiki-ing on a moodle as we say.
A wiki is a collaborative internet software wherein readers are invited to become writers as well. Educators refer to this as Internet 2.0 because we are shifting from the read only web to the read-write web.
Like the Wikipedia, if you know something about a topic, you can click edit and add your tidbit. If a page is absent, you can add it. If there is an error, you can correct it. If someone vandalizes the page, anyone can revert to an older version. It sounds wacky, but it seems to work. A study has indicated that the Wikipedia is about as accurate as the Encyclopedia Brittanica!
