A brief introduction:

I am John, a dyer, and college student. My wife Alice and I have been selling dyes online since 1996 and have had good luck with it. I am more of a slop artist than my wife is. She makes nice dyes and I tend to just "let it happen". As far as wisdom I have to offer, it's simple; I can offer what my experience lets me. Hope all can benefit from my teaspoonful of knowledge etc.

Hi, John!  Welcome!  Now teach me how to do a mandala that exquisite, and I'll be your friend forever!  I would love to see you do a photo demonstration on the wiki of one of yours... I did several last year, but I get so caught up in building up my clothing line, that there isn't much time left for anything else!  I didn't have much trouble picking up how to do the folding and tying, but I do get a little lost when it comes to the dye application.  I have a hard time envisioning what the unfolded design will look like!  So any pointers you might have will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks much,

Judy

Thanks for popping in (yea!--up to 50 registed users!)! I hope you stop by often and add your input often! We want to see all the different approaches to this art form--so hunt through and post!

Maybe you could help with business pointers as well because I think many here are eager to launch effective on-line stores.

Don't forget the gallery and the wiki!

Welcome and have fun!
