Reactions to the new software

The new forum is not customized yet, but we have migtrated from pHpBB2 to Simple Machines. Poke around and post your reactions. I know change is difficult, but I like to shake things up!

I have found that the old polls are gone (I can live with that). I have also found that linking the database with the gallery is strange from the admin side. Let me know how ir works from the user side.

Way ta go, SteveO!  Very easy to navigate, but I did notice when I tried to access posts since my last visit that nothing came up.  However, I found 3 or 4 when I did a manual search.  This is no biggie for me, since I normally do a manual sweep when I log on, but others might find that frustrating.  One thing I noticed that might go away as you tweak further... the font size on my signature has shrunk considerably, and I was unable to figure out how to change font size or style in my profile.  Not the biggest problem you are facing I'm sure, but something to play with when you're 'busy and doing nothing'!  Congratulations on your conversion!

I suspect the posts-since-last-visit feature does not apply to posts made with the old software. Time will tell!

You can use bbc code to tweak the size of the fonts in your signature or elsewhere. For posts there is the built-in editor. For signatures yo need to hand code. Here is a guide:
