Okay folks--

I'm starting to get the idea that we need a bit of an upgrade here. To be honest I'm really stuck for time right now. I have a 50 page technology plan to create over the next few weeks. Hopefully, once it is completed, I will be able to get it together.

I'd like you to look at some of the templates I have available:

http://demo.rockettheme.com/smf/

Give me feedback here.

Once we choose that, I can work on hacking links, etc.

Additionally, I'm not happy with the gallery as it stands. The bridge that synchronizes the usernames and passwords seems a pita. Frankly, I don't use it at any of my other sites. I have started to work with Flash-based Galleries which I really like, but there is really no submission pathway (unless you all have Flash). I will look at other software. We may have to go with separate logins.

I also hate the bloated tikiwiki. I may replace it with another wiki--or more drastically replace it with the Learning Managemant System Moodle which contains wikis. I just need a way to do it without destroying what has been done.

No guarantees on time frame.

Thanks,

Steve

It took me a minute to see that what we're supposed to do is click on the menu at the very top/center of the page. It's certainly easy to do, though.

I dislike all of the dark ones, such as 'versatility 2', 'versatility - light/orange/dark', 'versatility - dark/orange/dark', 'fire - firefrog', and 'fire - forestfire'. I like lighter color schemes that do not intrude their own strong color. 'Versatility - light/green/green' ins't bad, except that it's green. The beige in 'versatility2 - beige' is just too drab and depressing, though. The beige on the side of 'Fire - snowfire' ruins that one for me, as it's such an icky shade. Too yellowish. 'Versatility - light/blue/red' isn't bad.

I'll take that as a resounding vote for leave it the same. I'll add that option.

I like 'versatility - light/blue/red' a little more than the current one, so I'm leaving my vote there in spite of the new option of the current one. My guess is that our vote will not settle on any one style, so leaving it the same is a good option.

Hi, Steve!  Sounds like you've got a full plate right now!  Having been a code/maintain drone for a long time, I'm all for limiting changes to those that are absoloutely necessary for functionality, ease of use, etc.  As for aesthetics, if you ever come across something that is a fiber-arts theme, fine, but I'm happy with what you've done so far.  On the other hand, if it makes your job easier in the long run to change, go for it!  As for linking the gallery and Wiki to the forum, I just added their links to my favorites and go from there, but using the links on your posts as you have suggested makes me wonder if you couldn't just create a links page within one of the forum  subjects for now.
Thanks for all your hard work!
