Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jim and I'm from Indiana. I used to play around with dye quite a bit to make some side money on shirts in college. I have since found myself in an organization known as the SCA where we recreate various aspects of the mideival world, at least the ones we want to re-create.

Anyway, I have been working quite a bit on making shirts and banners for my fighting unit and various households. I started out wanting to recreate specific code-of-arms for our units but have slowly started getting into various techniques just to play. I'm just thrilled to be dying again. I do not sell my work but spend quite a bit of time and money on it for friends.
I found this site and decided to nose around some to try and learn some more to try and get better. Any help will be greatly appreciated! I would really like to find some primary documentation for resist dyeing in the middle ages (500 - 1600 a.d.) if anyone would be able to steer me in that direction.
I placed a few thumbnails up in the gallery. I'd be interested in constructive criticsm on anything you may be able to help me with. Thanks all!
