Hey everybody! My name is Denise, I'm 21 and I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

My best friend and I have been talking for the last three years about learning to tie-dye and finally got around to it last weekend. We had a BLAST. Our very first projects (kitchen towels) didn't turn out too hot, but we got the hang of it fast and made socks and tank tops which turned out great. My husband's frisbee golf buddies have already started requesting socks to wear to tournaments.  cheesy

Anyway, I'm just here to learn more about the art and get tips and whatnot from more experienced tie-dyers . . . Dyer Makers?  wink

Welcome, Denise!  You've come to the right spot for learning!  Have you found the tie-dye wiki yet?  Lots of good instructions on folds there.  The most important thing for me has been that I REALLY LOVE to dye!  I've always been hooked on color, but I love the designs we can do as well.  Stay plugged in to this forum for awhile, and you'll be amazed at how much you learn, and how great your tie-dye projects will turn out!

Happy dyeing,

Judy
