Hi, I'm Sherri from Southeastern Wisconsin.  About 35 min SE of Milwaukee actually.
I came across this site from Google searching on tie dye techniques and folding patterns.

This looks like a VERY informative site and you'll all probably get to know me real well.   cool

I've done some tie dye in the past with a small kit from Walmart... then I graduated to a kit from Dharma when I was working at daycare center.  I was doing the Schoolager group for the summer and decided to have each of the kids tie dye their own spiral pattern shirt that they would wear when we went on field trips.  I knew this would be the PERFECT way to keep track of 14 kids, they Really stood out in a crowd with the shirts they made!!

Anyways, I've decided to get back into tie dyeing because all mine are faded out and holey now..  cry
I enjoy the dyeing and I'd like to start selling them to support my own addictive tie dye habit!!   wink
Where I live we've got TONS of festivals and fairs, so I know once I build up an inventory, I could easily rent a booth and sell some shirts.  My daughter and I would also offer hair wraps and some other custom made jewelry type items.

So thats my little story and I'm sticking to it.  Look forward to posting some of my work soon and getting to know you all!

Welcome, Sherri!  We're all addicted to dyeing here, so you're among friends!  I know what you mean about 14 kids being easy to spot in tie-dye.  I can't tell you how many orders I have filled for families of shirts, for the same reason.  And you are right about this being a very informative site.  I've been dyeing for over 9 years now, and I still learn something every time I log in.  Best of luck to you in your endeavors!
