Here are a few blue swatches I put together using the infamous Salsa Jar Dyeing technique (I think I can reconstitute that soon).

Left to Right:

Baby Blue (PRO), Turquoise MX-G (Short time before rinsing). Turquoise again with many hours immersion, Blue MX-R, Blue MX-G, Blue MX-4GD, and MX-2G.

Steve, this is very helpful information. I find it very interesting how much difference there is in the tourquoise depending on the immersion time. They really don't even look like the same color.

Have you tried varying the time on any other colors? What was the time involved for the other blues?

Take it easy

I only varied the time with the turquoise becaue the reaction time for that particular dye is particularly slow. My experience has been the time makes less of a difference with the other hues because the other dyes have pretty much finished reacting (or are spent) after an hour or so unless the temperature is is cold. This time applies to the LWI technique, not to direct application with nonactivated dyes. Acitivated dyes lose a lot of punch past two hours.
