Anyone have a good source of 100% cotton bandanas? There is a popular rather expensive source we all know about wink, but does anyone have a more reasonably priced source?

A common complaint is that the hems of less expensive bandanas do not hold up to the rigors of the dyeing process.

Let us know if you found a great source of reasonably priced durable 100% cotton bandanas!

I just remembered a source that someone suggested on the old forum. They said they had great experiences with this product and that they held up well through the repeated washings required in the dyeing process.

http://craftsetc.com

search for bandanas, then select solids

They are $.87 each. I typed in 72 for quantity and the shipping came to 7.95 via UPS ground which puts them at $.98 each including shipping. This compares with 1.33 each not including shipping.

Hi, i may have just found a great source for bandanas, check out   www.tansclub.com    ...I'm only just ordering now but I'll post when I know how it goes...the price is right!

I had some bandanas from a 'dollar store'  here in Canada that were great but then I went again and the paisly print washed off and they looked all faded and paper thin, they werewn't the same and all of the stores had the new aweful ones, cheaper I guess....

I just wanted to note that the trouble with bandanas that I've had was the type of hem.  Rolled hems seem to come apart in the dye process.  I haven't purchased bandanas in a long time so I can't really tell you much but the rolled hems that came apart were something dharma was offering.  They had an alternative that did not fray but was more expensive.  Now I can't tell, looking at their online catalog, if the bandanas they offer now are rolled or hemmed differently, they aren't explicit in the description (it just says hemmed) but thought I'd put in my two cents on it, imo it is the difference in hemming and rolled was what didn't hold up.

We've had some trouble lately with the ones from Dharma that are not rolled.  They appear to be just overcast at the edges, but the threads come out sometimes in the dyeing process.  These are the ones that are natural cotton, not bleached, and they cost a little more than the bleached ones.
