A mama wants me to make a swirly pattern with black stripes on a hemp fitted diaper.  Is that possible?  Here's an example of the diaper:

I'm thinking that a fitted diaper is too small for a swirly, so what do you think?  Would LWI be the only way to go with fitteds?  Any other design suggestions for this kind of diaper?

Tying something that small and thick in great detail will be difficult. Maybe you could LWI-dye in assorted bright colors, wash out, and then paint black dye on in stripes to make the stained glass effect.

That's a good suggestion - I'll give it a try!  I'll be working on it this weekend, so I'll post pics to let you know how it turned out.  smiley

Well, here's the finished LWI step:

I was too chicken to try the black stripes this weekend.  I need to work up the courage!!!  I'm so scared to paint on the stripes!

Here's how it turned out.  I wasn't crazy about it, but the mama that ordered it LOVED it, so I'm happy. Smiley

Hi Deb Smiley  This diaper was one that the mommy already had.  It's called a Peewell, and I think if you google it you can find some.  This particular one is hemp.  It's a great diaper!
