Can any of you see how I folded this?
It was one of my "what would happen if I did this" moments.
It's a simple fold.

I'll tell you, but I want some guesses first............

Ooh, neat effect!

Lessee..... Fold in half lengthwise, then make a 60-degree fold back upward, then another. (Just tried it with paper and it seems it'd do the trick.)

How'd I do? (With my fold or my description.... LOL)

Dang, I'm gonna have to sacrifice a shirt and double-check my work! LOL

Yeah, I'll go with spiralling it, like a spider twist.

Yes! You fold the fabric in half, then in wedge thirds, then spiral from the point.
I place the end of a dowel on the point and twirl - I take the dowel off after a couple of twirls.
I've been using rubber bands on this one.
And don't saturate the center for nice patterning.
I haven't done it on a shirt yet - this one is on flannel and I've done it on dishtowels.
I'll try to remember to take pics next time....

I have one soaking in soda ash ATM, a sheer juniors' tee. I'll have to report back later if/when I get a chance to dye it.
