Until I get these phpBB addons figured out, the only way to post images here will be through third party image hosting. Sorry!

Meanwhile, please keep posted pictures no wider than 500 pixels nad under 100kb for the sake of those who have to load the page!

Just a reminder--that the Gallery is available now for posting your pictures. This does not preclude linking pictures to the forum.

I'd love to have some examples other than my own to put in the Wiki!

Hi, Steve.  I have plans to create instructions for my clamp-resist, but have been inundated with other things the past week or so.  When I do create it, do I need to put the pix in the gallery for the wikki?

If you want to put them in the wiki yourself, you need to upload the pictures to the actual page you are editing. You can do this by going to the bottom o the edit pages and look for upload picture. Next to that there is a button that says "choose file". I think you know what to do next. You must click save after you upload the picture. Try to keep the images fairly sall for our friend with dail up!

Don't worry about formating--I can always fine tune it.

Thanks!

They are there. Just click on "User Galleries." The images on the main page are just the most recently posted.

I can't get rid of it - it never allows me to change this attribute to "anobyody can see it"
Keeps telling me "No update needed", whenever i decide to change anything.

Any idea?

Hi All,

I hate to be yet another newbie who cannot seem to post photos, but I am struggling here. I am NOT a newb when it comes to computers but I do need help figuring this out.

So far I have tried:
Attaching a photo via "additional options" - the page attempts to load for so long that it times out and the whole post is lost. (I am on a super-high speed connection, btw.)
Inserting an image by clicking the image icon and pasting the address between. This just gives me a question mark icon in my preview.
I can attach one photo to a post if it is teeny tiny in size.

I am on a mac, and Steve I noticed in another post that you said you were too. Any hints?

Thanks guys! And sorry!

Lilah,
 I use a http://photobucket.com account.
On the page that shows all of my pictures for me there is things underneath the pics that I copy and paste onto forums so that my pics show up.
I'm not a macman but I hope Photobucket can help you.

On this forum you want the IMG code.

Sounds to me like you are trying to upload full sized photos. I have this forum and for that matter my server set up to limit photo sizes. If every photo on my server was full sized, I'd be out of space.

Try resizing your photos to that the max dimension is ~600-800 px with a file size under 150-200 kb.

Sorry for the limitations, but this is a free resource (and believe me, it is not free to me!).

Hi Steve,

Tried to post appropriately sized photos - approx 240x320 px.

Thanks for the reply, though. And thanks for keeping the site up, it is appreciated.
