Just curious... does anyone out there ever 'dip dye' their swirls?  I have heard of this being done, as opposed to direct application, but have never seen instructions or tried it.

I have never dip dyed a swirl, but I have dip dyed plain fabric.

If you decide to try it, we want pictures if you can.

The old video tape made by the two Dougs from montana shows swirls and scrunches that are dyed by different color squirt bottles and then dunked into a bath of black dye - actually I think the dunk is more of a leisurely bath - I haven't watched that part for awhile. The shirts, etc. come out nicely on the video.
Oh gee, another thing to try.............
