Hey:

I haven't done many pleated tie-dyes, and I went a little crazy with this one:

It's the first time I ever did a "full pleat job", meaning every inch of the T-Shirt was folded and banded, and looked like one of those wicca dolls from "Blair Witch" before dyeing.

On reflection:

1.  I used too much blue (turquoise).  It ate up all the yellow and turned it green.

2.  I should have used Black for accents between colors.  Either that, or dyed one side completely black, "Rasta"-style (is that the correct terminology)?

Still, it's pretty amazing how far you can come after just a month of tie-dyeing.

The problem is, I've already got enough tie-dye T-shirts to last a lifetime!

Thus, I'll probably take a break for now.

I will, however, post a few more pics from "The Collection":  Around 30 tie-dyed T-shirts - and that doesn't include the "Fails"!

I think you're already totally hooked and I doubt you'll take a break now.  You may think you can quit any time, but I predict you'll soon be selling to support your habit. wink

Edited to add: there is no such thing as too much turquoise.  It's the first color I ever bought by the pound.

You're very precise tie-dyer, nicely done.

I just counted the "wearable" (i.e., "non-fail") tie-dye T-shirts I now have in my closet:  24!

I predict I'll be going cold turkey for a while!

Thanks for the compliment, Jaja, but I've seen tie-dyes on the Net that put this one to shame.

As an example, here's a precision pleated tie-dye:

Todd, but you do tie-dye for a short time, right? You sure know that proverb saying what ratio of talent and hard work makes a master.  wink

I'm trying to imagine a Tie-Dye Master:

"Snatch the Soda Ash from my hand..."
