  Hello Everyone,
   I am TieDyeTodd. I have been making tie dyes since before there were laptops in the world. Did Dead tour and all that. Have always been known as TieDyeTodd ...For 20 years.
My wife, Brandy, and I have work posted on tiedyetodd.com and a few other places.
TieDyeTodd is our brand and trademark. It is known worldwide and people use it to find us.

I try to be original in my work, noticing that the best dyers out there don't actually copy each other. They understand some of the same techniques, but as artists, most feel a need to pioneer. I guess it's like music, and the longevity that results from true artistic endeavor.

This is a design that I created and developed using a technique that I invented. It is an original tiedyetodd copyrighted design. It is not a print. Just a tie dye. Hope it inspires others to try to be original and unique. Design and image  copyright 1996-2010 tiedyetodd

To help explain why there are (unintentionally!) 2 "Tie Dye Todds" on this forum, I'm copying a post I made to pburch.net below:

I wanted to explain how I - unintentionally - ended up taking your moniker in this forum.

I only started tie-dyeing about 2 months ago, but after getting bitten by the bug pretty intensely in the early going, I went online to see if there were any tie-dye forums. Finding itiedye.com, I naturally chose "TieDyeTodd" as my screen name, as "Todd" is my real first name.

I had no idea another Tie-Dye Todd existed until I did a Google search some time later to see if my posts were being indexed.

Imagine my surprise to learn that there was not only another Tie-Dye Todd, but that he had registered the domain name www.tiedyetodd.biz and was selling his work there!

Anyway, I fully acknowledge that you are (by far) the original Tie-Dye Todd, and am sorry for any confusion.

If it helps any, my mania for tie-dye is abating somewhat with the waning of summer, so you should have the name all to yourself again soon!

P.S. I also explained all this in another message on this forum, after somebody mistook one of my posts for you. His question was, and I quote: "Are you the infamously awesome tyedyetodd that makes the monster shirts???"

dear tiedye todd im sorry if i offended you in anyway by starting this whole thing your designs are awesome and an inspiration so when i get some money ill be buying one of your short sleeved monsters (since i allready have a long sleeve one)......peace
