I have a t-shirt I want to dye that already has a red silk screen on it.  I've never dyed anything with a silk screen and I was wondering if the decal would be lost if I used bright colors.

The shirt is for a toddler boy so I don't want to use pastels.  It says "Let love be" on the front so I though a heart around the decal would be cute.

Any thought on this?  Thanks!

Decals are a plastic or acrylic of some sort, so it's not going to dye if that's what you're concerned with.

Simply use colors that will contrast from the red if you still want it to be legible. Framing the decal in a heart shape is cute, but again, it would have to be dyed something other than red or fuchsia.
