I have been purchasing the 7 packs of Hanes shirts, thinking it was a great deal. I am occasionally finding a shirt with a small hole in it.

Just letting other dyers know about it so they don't make the same mistake.

Red Label Hanes have had that problem for decades - but conversely - they are the very best shirt for intricate detailed mandalas and symmetricals (bears, skulls, etc.) due to the weave, thinness, and Mercerization.  I take the good with the bad, and use the 'holy ones' for experimentation and mercy shirts.  What really rocks is when you can get the kid's sizes in the 5+1 bonus pack for $5.50 at Target and they have the comfort rewards points (good for free items) and sometimes Target even gives out $5 gift cards with the purchase of four packs.  I picked up 12 dozen kid's shirts for less than $140 over a week's period (using the 50¢ off coupon on each package), and got $30 in gift cards a couple of weeks ago that way.  They get upset if you buy too many at once, so I did it 2 or 4 dozen at a time over the week at two different stores.

That's good to know. I have been putting the holey ones aside for practice. I hate it when I find it AFTER it's dyed.

Thanks!
