has anyone else bought this book and if so what do you think of it?

I have read about half this book so far i like how this guy does his stars. I have been teaching my self most of what i know when it come to the art of tie dyeing. this is my 3rd year doing tie dye so i decided to started reading and even watched dvds on tie dye to further my skills in the art.

I bought this one some time ago, its a fairly comprehensive guide to his method, and a different approach to dvds and videos that I've bought. Loved the tips in there that I hadn't seen before.

Overall I find the method a little fiddly and the book was annoying the way its locked down so much, it made it hard to follow as I don't sit on my main pc while I'm tie dyeing and I didn't realise when I bought it that I wouldn't be able to use it elsewhere. In this case I would far prefer an actual book instead of a locked ebook.

I think I prefer dvd's to learn from as you can watch it all in one go and not scroll through the pages, piece by piece while trying to tie. But it was worth while.

Would I buy another of his if he made one, I think this is supposed to be the first in a series? yes if it was a good pattern, as the information contained is helpful, I probably got more out of his general methods than the stars which I'm still yet to perfect via this method, though I've been able to use other star methods. I bought hemostats etc to have a better go at them as thats what he uses, but haven't had a lot of time to go back to it yet.

I like dvds over books any day and i would have to agree with you with the tips that he does some of the better ones that i have learned. the copy that i have is the book and not the ebook i dont really like ebooks when it comes to trying to learn something cause it is much easier to have with you then the computer or laptop. i have done a couple of stars and still learning but really we all are learning every time we tie something up and then dye it. -LRC

oh great, he only had the ebook out when I bought it, if I was to buy others in the series I'd definitely go with hard copy, so much better!
