I'm a bit of a "late" tie dyer.
I've always loved tie dyes, but it hasn't been until the last few years I've even considered it!  My love for the band Hayseed Dixie has convinced me to give it a go (Most shows they do at least one of them tends to wear tie dyes)

I've only tried it a few times (I'll upload photos once I get a chance)
Some results have turned out better than others, but I'm looking forward to learning new techniques on this forum.

Welcome, RedBeard!  It's never too late to start... I was 50 before I tried it, and it has become a true passion of mine... very exciting and rewarding!  Have fun...

Welcome, RedBeard.  Judy's right -- it's never too late.  I was even older than 50 when I started.  So what?  Now I'm 57 with six years of tie-dyeing experience under my belt.  Those years were going to go by anyway.  I'm glad I spent them learning a new skill and having a wonderful time playing with color.  I'm still learning and still playing.  Why not?  I'm still breathing. grin

Welcome Redbeard!

My Mom's from Manchester and my cousins's still live in England.
And I wasn't a spring chicken either when I started tie dyeing!

Have fun,
Jo
