I just dyed my first silk/rayon velvet scarf... wow!  The velvet really sucks up the dyes! 

On this one, I used Orchid, Lilac, Avocado and Golden yellow.  It looks like the velvet part grabbed the first 3 colors and made deep maroon!  I dyed 2 others yesterday... don't have pix yet.  On one, I used just one color, and it came out kind of boring (to me!).  On the other, I used orange and a "copper" blend I make, and that had more interest.  I will post pix when I have them.
Anyone else out there dye these scarves?  If so, I would love to hear about your experience, and what you like to do with them!
