yeowsa, that's nice - the colorful binding and bright panels really pop against the black. I found out the hard way that it isn't hard to overdo it when piecing panels together

the first attempt:

Elements of it are....interesting, but looking at it as a whole, my eyes want to not only cross, but do backflips. It's like looking at one of those 3d hidden image things, but there's no sailboat. Simpler or one tone border fabric seems to let the eyes accept what's going on a lot better - either that, or spiral cut-into-stripes is just too eye jarring ;^)

Beautiful!  I'm really drawn to the first one, although I like all 4.  Wish I could do something like that on a shirt, but the jersey is too thick!  But that does very well on fabric.

Yah, the jersey isn't nearly as compliant - the sleeves and neckline want to go all squirrely, too

I've been banging away on the sewing machine lately, which roughly translates to having started 50 projects, and finished none. All the same, so far things are looking interesting.

Curtains - still need to work in a rod pocket or strips and finish the edges

another set of curtains for a set of french doors with blues, deep green, and tan. i still need to figure out a border trim color to finish them off

a baby/crib quilt - this one is another eyecrosser, but I think it's in a good way. I need to pick a colors for the border, trim, and backing on this one and dye them up yet.

Quilted tie-dyes are good looking and mandalas are also very well done. Thanks for sharing.
