I created a wiki site as a companion to the forum. I initially set up a wiki for my students and I am amazed at the work they have done on it. It has inspired me to do the same with tie-dyeing.

For those of you not familiar with wiki, it's a simple way to create a knowledge base very quickly. Anybody can log on and edit any page or create more pages. Participants can make additions, corrections, add images, or create links simply without learning a bit of html. For example, a word or set of words can be turned into a link by simply putting double parentheses around them. For Example:

Tie-dye employs ((resists))

resists would appear as a link

Putting an exclaimation mark in front of a word turns it into a heading and so on. There is also a formatting tool integrated so you can select text and push a button to do the mark up for you.

I encourage you to hit the link to the wiki and create an account ( sorry--couldn't integrate it as I did with the gallery). Click on the edit button on any page and make your contribution.

It sounds like a wacky thing, but wikis work! It's fun and it's easy!

The wiki is growing and the number of hits is approaching that of the forum!

Thanks for the contributions Paula!

Check it out folks! Please register, check it out and click the edit tab to add a few sentences to an existing post, fix a typo, or whatever. Click on a question mark to make a new page that has not yet been created and type in a little information.

Don't worry about formating or making mistakes! Try it out in baby steps! I have gotten hooked on wikis and now have tyed in a few things at the Wikipedia!
