Once I've seen in the shop two models of top-loaders, that had "stop" function before rinsing. I guess one of them was Electrolux. Does anyone knows machine with similiar functionality?

Well, I finally washed some tie dye in my front loading Kenmore HE2t machine. It worked just fine. Here's what I did:
1) I unwrapped the tie dyed items and cut off the string and just put them in the washer.
2) I set the cycle for "normal/casual", set the wash/rinse water temp to "cold/cold", and set the spin speed to "no spin".
That took 44 minutes.
3) Then I set the machine cycle for "heavy duty", the wash/rinse temp to "hot/cold", and set the spin speed to "medium".
That took 2 hours.

In the end, the items were washed, there was no backstaining (which was my primary concern).

And just in case, I washed the machine in the "machine wash" cycle with a little bleach to rinse out any dye that might have been in the machine.

The only "issue" I had was suds coming out of the back of the machine. I did use the low suds synthropol, but I did put a lot in, so in the future, I would just use a small amount as I usually do with regular He detergent.

Peace, Marg
