Michael Fowler's dvd isn't available anymore, it seems.
It would be nice if it were re-issued.

I like this guys dvds/downloads. He uses sinew, but sort of uses it like Fowler uses string.
http://www.phatdyes.com/

I googled "the art of tie dye" and found a probably sketchy website that offered several types downloads of the art of tiedye.
Probably not legal...........
Maybe your library could get it for you as an interlibrary loan.

It's interesting that nobody seems to have this. I even checked eBay. What I would do if you don't want to do an Interlibrary Loan is to put it in your profile as something you want. You will get an e-mail from eBay when it comes up.

You can also add it to your "wish list" on Amazon.

Michael Fowler's tie dye technique is characterized, first, by his using string to tie with, similar to how PhatDyes ties with sinew.
Second, Fowler like to tie/bind really fast; he was a dedicated production tie-er.
Third, he used slightly thickened dye with the soda ash activator in the dye, no soda soak of the fabric.
Fourth, he applied the dye Very Vigorously and Fast from large squirt bottles (no gentle dripping), plunging the bottle tip into the tied piece - production tactics.

There is also a chapter on tying large pieces of fabric and using watered down paints instead of dye.
And I like how that he just dumped all the batched tiedye into a washer of hot water and synthrapol, washed, and everything came out fine.

I took a class from him years ago; he did tie and dye amazingly fast.
I still have my paint mandala on a sheet from the class; it has been washed many times and still looks good.

I purchased this DVD. While the seller looks respectable, I'm sensing a technical glitch. I will celebrate when I get the shipping notification.

I got the shipping notification. I am truly amazed. I'm curious why this seller has new ones available. Did it go back into printing? I'm afraid to ask.

Blank Apparel is the seller... seems to me that was the name of the company Michael started or went to work for after he put the video out.  Could be he has some in reserve?  Let us know if you learn anything!

Got it. It's real, and it plays. Shipping was amazingly fast, because he's in my postal zone. I had it the day after I ordered it.

I don't know why his Amazon listing says there's only one. When I ordered mine, They still had only one. After that, several other people ordered one. Same thing.

If you haven't got one yet, better get it before he sees the run on them and raises the price. LOL!
